“How wonderful it is that nobody needs wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.” – Anne Frank

About us

As an education charity, we believe the best way to bring sustainable employer engagement and first-class professional employability skills to schools, colleges and youth organisations is by working with them to understand their individual needs and the aspirations of their learners and their parents. We offer support and fresh ideas, ensuring they can offer the very best employability skills training with practical experience.

We design bespoke employability skills programmes for businesses to provide high quality employee volunteering opportunities. With something for everyone, no matter what their own job may be, our programmes are fun and rewarding, giving individuals the flexibility to decide how much or how little time they want to give.

By forging strong partnerships, we provide immediate and long-term support, helping to improve the employability skills of young people, raise their confidence and help prepare them for the workplace.

Our mission

The mission of EmployabilityUK is to facilitate employer engagement to enhance the aspirations, opportunities and career prospects of enthusiastic and committed young people.

“Help one another. There’s no time like the present, and no present like the time.”

Volunteer feedback

Susanne Virtanen, Business Consultant at DiscoverChange

"Volunteering for EmployabilityUK has been an amazing experience. I'm passionate about helping young people unleash their potential and help them achieve their career goals, and working with EUK has enabled me to provide the support and give back to the community. Facilitating the inspirational workshops has also helped me improve my presentation skills and given me more confidence to train larger groups of learners. The EUK team is very supportive and provides lots of resources, but they also encourage you to make the sessions "your own". I would definitely recommend the volunteering opportunities with EUK, especially for someone determined who loves to go the extra mile to create positive change!"

EmployabilityUK provides what I believe to be an essential service to young adults across a wide-reaching demographic. Bridging the gap between education and employment, providing valuable insight and arming students with life skills that have not been taught in a school curriculum. As a behaviour expert, I am bias in my belief that these kinds of skills should be taught from a much earlier age. I am thrilled to be part of the team and to add to the work Diane and the team do, by delivering my workshops in networking and interaction skills, body language and all forms of communication. I find it incredibly rewarding and it gives me a great insight into what the next generation are going to be adding to the community. If you want unfiltered feedback this is a great environment to get it. I would really recommend volunteering with EmployabilityUK for a host of reasons, but most of all to be able to give a leg up to some magnificent young people.

When I retired a couple of years ago, after many years in training and coaching, I was looking for a way to continue using my experience and knowledge to help others. EmployabilityUK has proved to be an excellent fit. They are a great bunch of people, really friendly and supportive. They have given me an opportunity to work with school learners and young adults, developing their confidence and skills to improve their employment chances. I have been involved in a wide range of events, from workshops for small numbers of unemployed adults to delivering a talk for over 100 6th Form learners - not a group I have previously worked with, so it has been challenging as well as rewarding! If you're looking for a way to make a contribution to young people in the Midlands, I would recommend getting in touch with EmployabilityUK.

“Volunteering is the ultimate exercise in democracy. You vote in elections periodically, but when you volunteer, you vote every day about the kind of community you want to live in.”
