Is my experience valuable?
Our fantastic volunteers join us from a huge variety of backgrounds.
Some own their own businesses, some are motivational speakers, perhaps retired with free time or adding a dimension to their continuous personal development at work. They may have personal experience of being in care, a disability or from a minority group. Experience could range from the arts to the services, from construction to beauty. They may simply have made a New Years Resolution to help others. But all of them know what it is like to transition to the world of work so their contribution is highly valuable.

Volunteer feedback
Susanne Virtanen, Business Consultant at DiscoverChange
"Volunteering for EmployabilityUK has been an amazing experience. I'm passionate about helping young people unleash their potential and help them achieve their career goals, and working with EUK has enabled me to provide the support and give back to the community. Facilitating the inspirational workshops has also helped me improve my presentation skills and given me more confidence to train larger groups of learners. The EUK team is very supportive and provides lots of resources, but they also encourage you to make the sessions "your own". I would definitely recommend the volunteering opportunities with EUK, especially for someone determined who loves to go the extra mile to create positive change!"

EmployabilityUK provides what I believe to be an essential service to young adults across a wide-reaching demographic. Bridging the gap between education and employment, providing valuable insight and arming students with life skills that have not been taught in a school curriculum.
As a behaviour expert, I am bias in my belief that these kinds of skills should be taught from a much earlier age. I am thrilled to be part of the team and to add to the work Diane and the team do, by delivering my workshops in networking and interaction skills, body language and all forms of communication.
I find it incredibly rewarding and it gives me a great insight into what the next generation are going to be adding to the community. If you want unfiltered feedback this is a great environment to get it. I would really recommend volunteering with EmployabilityUK for a host of reasons, but most of all to be able to give a leg up to some magnificent young people.

When I retired a couple of years ago, after many years in training and coaching, I was looking for a way to continue using my experience and knowledge to help others. EmployabilityUK has proved to be an excellent fit. They are a great bunch of people, really friendly and supportive. They have given me an opportunity to work with school learners and young adults, developing their confidence and skills to improve their employment chances. I have been involved in a wide range of events, from workshops for small numbers of unemployed adults to delivering a talk for over 100 6th Form learners - not a group I have previously worked with, so it has been challenging as well as rewarding! If you're looking for a way to make a contribution to young people in the Midlands, I would recommend getting in touch with EmployabilityUK.
